2012 Nissan Versa Recalls

Less than two weeks after the 2012 Nissan Versa was recalled for a transmission problem, the Versa and the 2012 Nissan Altima are being recalled for a flaw in the vehicles' airbag system the same flaw that caused last week's recall of two Subaru models.

Today, it might get a bit of attention back, but for the wrong reasons: Nissan is recalling 976 2012 Nissan Altima and Versa sedans to fix a side curtain airbag problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The automaker attributes this to an error made by the supplier, Autoliv. A similar issue has plagued a number of other carmakers this year, but thankfully these two Nissans haven’t been on sale for long.

Earlier this month, NHTSA announced a recall of 2011 Toyota RAV4 SUVs for side curtain air bag problems. Honda also recalled 2012 Crosstour and Civic vehicles while Subaru recalled 2012 Legacy and Outback vehicles for similar air bag issues.

Nissan will begin the recall on February 27, and will replace any faulty airbag modules free of charge. If you own one of the potentially affected vehicles and would like more information, you can contact Nissan customer service at (615) 725-1000. You can also contact the NHTSA at (888) 327-4236, and reference recall campaign number 12V055000.

Greater than the automotive breakthrough that was the XK 120, greater than the highly successful Mark VII, and greater than the impressive XJ220, no single Jaguar is more revered than the 1961 E-Type (XK-E in the states). Now, more than 40 years later, the venerated E-Type is still recognized for its timeless good looks and high performance.

Oozing retro awesomeness, the bespoke coupe was designed by Robert Palm and Bo Zolland. It features a carbon fiber body which sits on top of an aluminum chassis. Notable styling highlights include a clamshell hood, LED taillights and 20-inch wheels.

Lyonheart’s design philosophy for the Lyonheart K was to only use genuine materials, like carbon fiber, leather, veneer, polished stainless steel, brushed aluminum, and chromed metal. In addition to these materials, Lyonhearts Cars is also offering a bespoke program that allows its customers to design the cars according to their wishes. Customers can opt for any desired material on the interior, pick their own, unique dials, or put their initials in the veneer or in the body color.

In the 1930s and 1940s, loud, fast racecars were entertaining the masses, allowing automobile manufacturers to show their engineering prowess and providing a way for wealthy sportsmen to get their kicks. But automobile racing wasn’t the only show in town. Championship speed boat competition, in the form of nautical circuit racing, endurance racing and flat-out top speed record chasing were popular the world over.
This intricate model kit is not for novices, but will reward a patient and careful modeller with the best scale engine model most have ever seen. The kit includes miniature nut drivers, but will also require some drilling, light filing and a gel type CA glue (superglue) to complete.

The expertise of Enzo Ferrari has left its stamp on the speedboat, which is powered by a 12-cylinder 5.5-liter Ferrari V12, which was also used by the Type 375 Grand Prix car.

The current owner acquired the racing boat over 20 years ago, restoring it to concours condition. ARNO XI has been in the water many times since and is not only an impressive sight when seen in action but also sounds magnificent.

Well-documented, its sale is accompanied by an extensive history file including numerous period photographs and hand-written notes from the great Ferrari engineer, Colombo, during tests on Lake Iseo and during bench testing at Ferrari's Maranello factory. This remarkable and unique machine is estimated to achieve between €1.000.000 - €1.500.000 when it crosses the auction podium in May.
