Jaguar's gorgeous C-X16 concept has already inspired one new production vehicle, the 2014 F-Type convertible, and Jaguar just gave us a glimpse of the second. The all-aluminum 2015 F-Type coupe will go on sale in spring 2014. 

With a starting price of $69,875, the base-level F-Type boasts a 340-hp supercharged 3.0-liter V6 capable of propelling the sedan to 60 miles per hour from a standing stop in 5.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 161 mph. The base-level F-Type also includes a 10-speaker Meridian audio system, sport exhaust, leather upholstery and a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel with shift paddles. 

The new Jaguar F-Type Roadster is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter, V-6 engine that delivers a total of 340 horsepower in its base setup and 380 horsepower in the F-Type S. Topping out the F-Type range is the V8 S model that uses 495-horsepower, V-8 engine. 

 The hard-top version of the F-type will go on sale in spring 2014, a year after the convertible version was launched. Jaguar is yet to confirm whether the coupé will be available with the same range of engines: V6s with either 335- or 375bhp, and a 488bhp V8.

Just as Jaguar teased earlier this month, the luxury marque is debuting its first-ever sports crossover concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which begins this week. In addition to previewing what a soft-roading Jag might look like, the C-X17 concept also showcases the brand's new advanced unibody aluminum architecture, which it calls the future of its brand. 

Fully revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new crossover concept is underpinned by a brand new all-aluminum platform. Jaguar declined any other details regarding the vehicle, but a test drive video we reported about yesterday suggests the C-X17 is powered by the company’s supercharged V6 engine.

 The C-X17 concept is one example of the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using the modular, scalable new architecture. As a sports crossover, it combines the character and driving experience of a sports car with increased presence and flexibility - all imbued with the sleek lines and luxurious sophistication Jaguar is renowned for. 

Some of the concept-car whizbangery of the C-X17's blazingly white interior, however, is unlikely for production such as the Interactive Surface Console, a social media-friendly, touchscreen-based infotainment system. The four-passenger setup, and the tested, Meridian audio system, have a greater shot for production.

The 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco facelift has returned in a second batch of spy photos taken in the United States.The redesigned Scirocco is aiming to be a full-fledged sports coupe, which means it could lose some of its stylish design. It will however, remain a four seater with a large tailgate and plenty of cargo space in the trunk. 

It appears only the front section is receiving an update, despite the Scirocco being largely unchanged since its launch in 2008. Expect some sharper lines and a wedge grille similar to that added to the 2013 CC. The shape of the headlights will also be tweaked and will likely feature some new LED elements. 

 Other Vdubs which AutoBild say are coming by 2020 include the Phaeton for 2015, the T6 van and passenger van for 2015 as well, plus a roster of crossovers and SUVs, ranging from the Taigun to a 7-seater vehicle. They also say the next generation Polo is coming in 2015 and will have LED headlights. 

 Those reading that famous moniker as an indication of extra horses should look elsewhere; the GTS offers no extra power hike, and thus uses the familiar 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine producing 207bhp. Which means a 0-62mph time of 6.9 seconds and top speed of 149mph. Would have been better with the 260bhp 'R' version, but at least you get a dimpled golf-ball gear lever knob.

The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder enters its second year as a seven-seat family crossover with a new model added: the first-ever Pathfinder Hybrid, a direct shot across the bows of the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Launched last year as a complete reinvention of the traditionally tough Pathfinder sport-utility vehicle, the current model comes with front-wheel drive as standard and sacrifices some towing and rock-crawling abilities for comfort and family-friendly features.

 Powered by a supercharged 2.5-liter gasoline engine and a 15 kW electric motor paired to a Lithium-Ion battery fitted under the third row of seats, the Pathfinder Hybrid is equipped with Nissan's Intelligent Dual Clutch System that allows the vehicle to provide "performance equivalent to the Pathfinder 3.5-liter gasoline V6 model. 

The Pathfinder’s new Hybrid powertrain option will be available in three fully equipped trim levels SV, SL and Platinum Premium– when it joins the lineup in late summer 2013. It is expected to be priced at around just $3,000 more than Pathfinder 3.5-litre 4WD V6 models.

In a departure from the naturally-aspirated hybrid norm, Nissan’s new setup utilizes a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder for gasoline-powered motivation. A CVT handles shifting duties, and a 15-kw electric motor sits between the engine and transmission with a pair of clutches to disconnect it from the system and conserve energy as situations allow. Nissan says the goal of the powertrain is to produce V6-like output without a commensurate appetite for fossil fuel.

Externally, the 2014 MiTo features a new chrome front grille, titanium grey headlamp/taillight surrounds, tinted rear window and a sports rear bumper, while a new Matte Magnesio Grey paint has been added to the palette. 

The car was driven by journalist and expert on the German track Horst von Saurma and was equipped with special Pirelli P Zero Trofeo tyres, the most sporty version in the Pirelli P Zero line. 

if the MiTo is to be a true MINI challenger it has to appeal to the emotions of onlookers in a big way, and at the very least it also has to have exceptional driving characteristics. You can decide for yourself if the first part of that sentence rings true; in driving terms the MiTo does not have quite the sharpness of a MINI, but it's certainly a lot of fun. 

The MiTo’s handling gets slightly mixed reviews. Some praise the way it drives, describing it as fun yet comfortable, while others suggest a distinct lack of steering and ride precision for a car of this class. Comfort also comes under fire from some critics, suggesting that the ride can be a little on the crashy side. 

For the 2014MY, the MiTo gains revised interior and exterior colors, a chromed front grille, titanium grey headlamp and tail lamps surrounds, plus upgraded dashboard plastics and a new five-inch infotainment system with voice recognition.
