New Chrysler’s 300C launch China in June

The new generation of Chrysler’s 300C improves on its predecessor, which according to Jeremy Clarkson was styled by Al Capone, in every single way. So, the new 300C, which is also on sale in Europe as the Lancia Thema, will go on sale in China on June 25. The Chrysler 300C’s distinctive headlights sit next to LED daytime running lamps, which together form a “C” shape.

For better aerodynamics and visibility, the windshield has been raked back 3 inches, while rolled-framed doors with thinner pillars improve outward visibility by 15%. A new dual-pane panoramic sunroof lets in more daylight; the 300 also has chrome daylight openings, chrome front and rear fascia accents, and optional 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels. The Lancia Thema version is extremely similar, but has a slightly different grille and interior. The next 300 will reportedly receive serious cosmetic upgrades to the front and rear fascia in addition to a far more luxurious and attractive interior.

The rear-drive sedan will also receive Chrysler's new Pentastar V6, which promises 280 or more horsepower and fuel savings of up to 20 percent versus the current vehicle. .

New Gumball 3000 2012 Test Drive

Gumball HQ confirmed to GTspirit that the 2012 Gumball 3000 Rally will be a classic coast-to-coast rally starting in New York and finishing eight days later in Los Angeles, California. While some of the cars were stopped by the cops on their way to St, Louis, they all got there in the end and we’ve got a video that proves this.

The clip, which comes from Youtube user Shmee150, allows us to see the entire Gumball 2012 line-up in front of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. After we got out of the traffic of New York it was time to cruise through the beautiful nature of America. The first two hours we missed all the teams. But when we saw one it was the most spectacular car.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport from the big boss of Trust drove up the freeway just when we passed. Not long after that it got pulled over by the police just to make some pictures. The Gumball 3000 was stricken with tragedy in 2007, when one of its participants crashed into another car head on at an estimated 100 mph, killing the driver and passenger of the other car, but leaving the participants unharmed. After this occurrence, the Gumball 3000 organizers took a much firmer grasp on driver safety and have become the ambassadors of road safety throughout the world.

1970 Jaguar E-Type Barn Find Concept

The F-Type will also be available as a coupe later on, so this is the perfect time to remind you about the coolness of the old E-type counterpart. This car destined to be shipped from the US back to Europe, but paperwork slowed the deal down too much. Now it’s for sale on craigslist with Main Street Motors, a classic car dealer in New Jersey, for just $14,500.

The Series 2 did benefit from some performance enhancements, largely tied to cooling. An enlarged mouth at the front helped with engine cooling, as did a larger radiator and twin electric cooling fans. Stopping performance was improved with larger calipers front and rear. To improve driveability, a lower ratio in first gear helped with smoother departures from a dead stop, but the 263 lb. ft. of torque on tap ensured keeping up with traffic was never a problem. Since this car hasn’t run in many years, we’d plan on a carb rebuild and tending to the finicky British electronics.

Built by William Lyons and body designed by Malcolm Sayers using the torsional strength of the alloy body panels to lesson the weight added to the exceptional performance of the car.A race proven XK 4.2 liter dual over head cam hemi engine producing 265 horsepower coupled with a four-speed gear box, four wheel disc brakes, and full independent suspension made the XKE one of the most advanced cars of its time.
