Almost one year ago Mercedes Benz has officially announced that it will present its first pickup truck. About the time of the launch is still unclear. But one source close to the company told AutoExpress, which are reproduced by Worldcarfans, said that the concept version will be on display near the end of this year.
It is estimated that Mercedes Benz will show in October to coincide with the Paris Motor Show 2016 event.
On different occasions, recently Mercedes Benz vans CEO, Volker Mornhinweg has said the car will be called as X Class, will be available in late 2017.
Regardless of the time of the launch, the German pickup will it offered in three different variants. Entry-level variant is aimed at consumers who want to buy a conventional pickup, while the range topping variant is rumored to have a cabin similar to B Class and got a touch of luxury.
At the heart pacemaker sector there has been no official confirmation from the luxury car manufacturer. However, presumably the car is equipped with 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine-powered 187 hp and 332 pounds-feet of torque. Reportedly, the highest variant will be offered with six-cylinder engine that produces 255 hp and torque of 406 lb-ft of torque.
