PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), the agent brand holder (APM) Toyota cars in Indonesia, will display dozens of cars in the event Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in 2015.
One of them is the fuel cell car named Mirai."Special car in our booth is a fuel cell vehicle. This is the first fuel cell vehicle mass produced. Currently, some countries already use it," said Dimas Aska, media relations section head of PT TAM, Thursday (6/8/2015 ).
According to Dimas, fuel cell cars could provide greater insights for the people of Indonesia on how should the vehicle in the future.
This car uses hydrogen fuel is environmentally friendly because it results only in the form of water disposal. In addition, the car is arguably more practical than a purely electric-powered vehicles in terms of recharging energy or fuel. The tank can be filled no more than five minutes. The car can go as far as 480 kilometers on a single charge of hydrogen.
Mirai in Indonesian means 'future'. This futuristic car design is also referred to as a turning point in the automotive industry.The GIIAS 2015, Toyota was present with two booths. Booth first as the exhibition area of passenger cars in the hall and booth 10B both as a commercial vehicle exhibition area is in hall 3C.
